Foam Shapes on the Window {A Simple Toddler Activity}

Whether it's wet and horrible outside, too hot to play outside or you're just looking for a simple activity to keep your tot entertained, this is our favourite, low-prep, indoor activity!

I've been providing Bubbles with this activity since she was just a tot. So, it made sense when I was looking for an activity to keep Squiggles occupied whilst I folded some laundry, to provide Squiggles with the same activity.

Little did I know that Bubbles would also join in, as apparently even though she's now five, it's still a favourite!

All you need for this activity is a window, fridge or other shiny flat surface, water and foam shapes.

To invite Squiggles to play, I simply placed a shallow dish of water with foam shapes in it on a step near our front window. That's it!

Squiggles had fun making a 'rainbow' with her shapes until Bubbles came along and then they both began creating and acting out stories on the window with the shapes.

A simple activity, but sometimes, simple is all you need!

Please always supervise your infant/child at play.  Please stay within arms reach and never leave infants/children unattended.  You know you're infant/child best, use your own judgement-considering your infant/child's temperament, habits, behaviour and development before you play with a new play medium.
