Doll Carrier Hack

Does your child have a comfort toy? Do they insist on taking it everywhere with them?

Today I want to share with you a little tip that's helped us when we're at the park and Squiggles' insistence of having her "Bubba" with her get's in the way of play.

What to do when you don't have a doll sling
Whilst we were at the park this week I found that Squiggles' ability to play was being hampered by her comfort toy, "Bubba".

We have a 'two hands' rule when swinging and when Squiggles was struggling to abide by this and hold her doll, I was thinking that we should have brought her dolly sling.

In the absence of her doll sling though I found that the sash on her dress worked well at holding her doll on her front, keeping both hands free to hold on to the swing.

The back hold
Next, as she attempted to climb up the ladder we put "Bubba" on her back, and there she stayed for the rest of our time at the park. Such a simple little 'hack' but it made life so much easier!

Please always supervise your infant/child at play.  Please stay within arms reach and never leave infants/children unattended.  You know you're infant/child best, use your own judgement-considering your infant/child's temperament, habits, behaviour and development before you play with a new play medium.
